In order to install the bamboo flooring on the walls, you need to prepare them with care. It means that you have to remove and clean the dust and dirt from the surface of the walls. You can use a dry cloth or towel to clean the walls. Make sure that you dont install bamboo flooring on the moist walls as it may lead to the development of the fungus beneath the bamboo planks after installation. If you are installing bamboo flooring on the walls of the moist areas of your home such as bathroom or kitchen, always use a moisture barrier between the bamboo flooring and wall. Furthermore, it is important to have a level and a flat surface before the installation of the bamboo flooring. Keep in your mind that uneven surface areas on the walls could cause the bamboo material to deteriorate and warp over time.
First of all, choose a starting point to begin the bamboo installation. It is a good idea to begin at the bottom edge of the wall and install left to right. Now, proceed to the end of the wall and then return to the left side. After lining the first plank of bamboo up against the wall, you should secure it to the wall with the help of flooring staples and a nail gun. It is a good idea to wear the proper safety equipment when using staples and a nail gun to prevent any injury. Make sure that you apply staples to the joint areas, so to hide the staples once the next plank of bamboo is installed.
To reduce the risk of movement for the flooring installation, it is important that you stagger the bamboo flooring. Not only will this prevent seams of each panel lining up with the sections below and above it, this will also give more aesthetic appeal to your installation. Now, with the help of a miter saw, cut the first piece of plank on each level at different lengths. Finally, install trim at each edge to hide any gaps in between the wall edges and bamboo flooring.
